While visiting Burgundy, I recommend you choose Beaune as your base. It is a medium size town and once the car is parked you can do everything by foot. The multitude of great restaurants, cellars, wine bars will be easily reached by foot. It takes about 20 minutes by foot to navigate from one side to the other of the town.
